He did his "har-har-very-punny" laugh, but I hadn't actually meant the pun. If you like romance, you should enjoy this book. I guess I just always pick the books that don't have any disscussion questions for them already! Book Blogs, Literary Blogs, Books, Martine Leavitt, Keturah and Lord Death, Death, Romance, Young Adult, Reviews, Book Reviews. Some are borrowed, but most are my own. Keturah and Lord Death is the story of Keturah Reeve, a poor teenage girl living with her grandmother on the edge of the forest. I won't ruin the story, but it's a great read! I mean, really, falling in love with Death? Her strength diminishes until, finally, she realizes that death is near--and learns then that death is a young lord, melancholy and stern. This was a good story, well done, interesting..and certainly a different take. I actually read an awesome fairy tale sort of book, Keturah and Lord Death by Martine Leavitt. But just to put it right out there — Leavitt's latest is nothing like Keturah and Lord Death, with its mythopoeic elements and historical/fantastical setting. (It's Keturah and Lord Death by Martine Leavitt, for any who want to read it.) But that brings up the subject of being scared to death – or nearly to death. I just finished reading Keturah and Lord Death by Martine Leavitt. I read this book on the recommendation of people who “really loved” it, and when I finished it I was unsure whether I liked it or not. For this Spotlight List, I've gathered together a few fairy tale retellings that are based on stories that are retold less frequently and have been retold here in very unique ways. Keturah and Lord Death by Martine Leavitt is one of the most unique and beautiful stories I have ever read. While out looking for the hart her local lord wishes to hunt, Keturah encounters Lord Death. Here is a list of book club discussion questions for Keturah and Lord Death.
